• The rehabilitation of the Hanover Theatre included restoration of the 1904 entrance and major features of the 1926 theatre with updated stage, green room, and systems to support modern Broadway productions, concerts, and entertainment venues
• Restored signature features of the 1926 design include the stage proscenium, chandeliers, and ornate plasterwork
• The major performance venue and cultural icon is a cornerstone of the revitalization of downtown Worcester, which came together through a complex network of public and private partnerships with a shared vision of the possibilities
• The project was recognized with several awards including a Preservation Honor Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Paul E. Tsongas Award from Preservation Massachusetts, and an AIA New England Design Award
