In addition to the acknowledgement from the local business community, three recently-completed LPA|A projects received recognition at the end of 2017: the Contemplative Center at the College of the Holy Cross, the Shrewsbury Public Library, and Mountview Middle School in Holden.
The Central Massachusetts AIA presented the team that worked on the renovation and addition of the Shrewsbury Public Library, completed in the summer of 2017, with the jury citing the, “thoughtful juxtaposition of the large new addition as it pays homage to the existing classically designed library building…”
LPA|A and William J. Masiello Architect were recognized for the Contemplative Center at Holy Cross with the honor award. The Jury commented, “This year’s Honor Award recognized thoughtful human-scaled architecture that successfully integrates its building components with the land. The architecture is expressed with simple materiality reflecting its quiet intended purpose.”
Mountview Middle School was designated as a Project of Distinction in School Planning & Management’s 2017 Education Design Showcase.
