- The historic public library was built in 1908, with an addition built in 1990, and is currently 20,000 square feet, but with both circulation and attendance trending upward, is it undersized and not well equipped to meet the modern demands of a public library
- LPA|A undertook an assessment of current building conditions and provided several options including potential renovation options as well as alternative site options for possible new construction
- The proposed program includes a total of 32,000 square feet with public meeting rooms, dedicated teen and maker spaces, and improved efficiency for staff areas
