Pitching In for the Day of Action
Earlier this month the LPA|A team spent a Friday morning cleaning, painting and doing yard work as part of the United Way of Central Massachusetts’ Annual Day of Action. The firm’s relationship with the United Way goes back more than 30 years, with the majority of staff participating in their Employee Giving Campaign.
LPA|A sent teams out to two nonprofits in the City: African Community Education (ACE) and Pernet Family Health Service. The United Way coordinates more than 1,000 volunteers that day and deploys them to undertake more than 60 projects across the region.
LPA|A Administrator Andree Furtado, who helped coordinate the staff’s participation this year, said of the day, “It’s rewarding to spend some time helping nonprofit organizations who do so much for our community. The United Way really does an incredible job of coordinating this huge undertaking and the impact they have on our community is immeasurable.”
