Groundbreaking for Clinton Middle School
The Clinton Middle School is officially under construction, and the occasion was marked this September with a groundbreaking ceremony at the current middle school, adjacent to the construction site of the new school. Local elected officials, school administrators, and even students shared their excitement for the new school, which is anticipated to open at the start of the 2027-28 school year.
The project is made possible by both the Town of Clinton and the Massachusetts School Building Authority. MSBA Executive Director Mary Pichetti made remarks at the event, acknowledging the huge effort it takes to get a project to the construction phase and the collaborative process that has been ongoing for many years already.
The 700-student middle school will replace the 1976 building, providing a modern educational facility with outdoor learning spaces, sustainable design features, and the technological capabilities required for contemporary learning.
