Shrewsbury Library Receives Preservation Massachusetts Award
Preservation Massachusetts has selected the Shrewsbury Public Library project to receive the Robert H. Kuehn, Jr. Award, which recognizes, “projects that meld collaborative partnerships with creative and cutting-edge ideas for the rehabilitation and active reuse of historic buildings.”
LPA|A began the project in 2013, with the charge to design a new addition, making the transition of the historic building to the addition as seamless as possible.
The entire design celebrated the original 1903 library heightened by the restoration of original woodwork, fireplaces, and stained glass window.
