At the launch of 2023, LPA| Architects will expand its Board of Directors to include Christina Bazelmans, Sean Brennan, Peter Caruso Jr., Christopher Lee, and Michael Oldakowski. They will join current Board Principals Katie Crockett, Eric Moore, Rick Lamoureux, and Rob Para Jr. as shareholders and Associate Principals.
Katie Crockett notes, “The new Directors have all had key roles in some of our most prominent recent projects. They have diverse skill sets that reflect well on our firm’s core values and long-term legacy. We welcome them to our Board and look forward to their continued contributions to the firm.”
With the title of Associate Principal each of the new Directors will continue with their primary roles in project development. Additionally, they will take on elevated responsibilities for specific practice sectors:
- Christina Bazelmans will spearhead programming and sustainability initiatives
- Sean Brennan will have an increased role in business development and marketing efforts
- Peter Caruso will focus on project management and mentorship approaches
- Chris Lee will expand his role in design and digital technology
- Mike Oldakowski will further develop envelope technology directions
Coming into the new year with a diverse range of projects at various stages of development, 2023 looks to be another busy one for LPA|A. The firm continues to expand its portfolio of public-school projects with Doherty High School going into another year of construction and the Town of Clinton recently selecting LPA|A for a feasibility study for their middle school project. A study for UMass Amherst to look at options for their Thompson Hall Auditorium Building is underway and Worcester Polytechnic Institute will be dedicating its new Wellness Center this month.
Our relationships with a number of local nonprofits continue, including a project for Catholic Charities Mercy Center to adapt a space in West Boylston to support their programs for adults with developmental disabilities. We look forward to sharing more details on these projects throughout the coming year.
