Hanover Theatre Restoration Featured
Preservation Massachusetts, the statewide historic preservation nonprofit organization, recently blogged about the restoration of Worcester’s Hanover Theatre. The post tells the story of the historic building and the numerous transformations it has undergone in its 100-plus year history. The theatre has been one of Worcester’s great success stories in recent years, and LPA is proud to have be a part of that story.
You can read the blog post on Preservation Massachusetts’ website.
The preservation and renovation of the theater was many years in the making and ultimately served to make the Hanover Theatre the destination and landmark that it had been in an earlier era.
The project was recognized with several awards including a Preservation Honor Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Paul E. Tsongas Award from Preservation Massachusetts, and an AIA New England Design Award.
