With the overwhelming support of Clinton residents, the vote to fund the next phases of their middle school construction project has passed, signaling the beginning of the design development phase, leading to construction documents and finally construction, scheduled to begin in the late spring/early summer of 2025. It is anticipated to open for the start of the 2027/2028 school year.

LPA|A has been working with the town since late 2022 and has helped the district through the process of analyzing options for renovating or rebuilding their 1970’s-era building and reconfiguring their grades to better suit their educational goals. The decision has been made to build a new school on the site of the current school that will accommodate 700 students in grades 4-8. This new school will be roughly 136,000 square feet on two floors.

The town recently added Fontaine Brothers construction company to the team, which also includes Dore & Whittier as Owner’s Project Manager. The project is funded through a partnership between the town and the Massachusetts School Building Authority.
