Core Value for 55 Years: Commitment to our Community

One of LPA|A’s core values since its founding 55 years ago, is a commitment to our community. That commitment takes many forms — from staff’s individual volunteer time to direct support to local nonprofits, to the day-to-day work of creating spaces throughout the cities and towns in Central Mass where the team lives and works.

Reflecting on the relationships built over 55 years in Central Massachusetts, there are many nonprofit organizations and municipalities with whom the firm has collaborated to create a variety of facilities for the community to enjoy.

Perhaps best known at one time for the renovation of the Hanover Theatre, LPA|A’s projects for St John’s Food for the Poor, Mechanics Hall, Preservation Worcester and others have also been firm highlights. You can read more in a recent profile in the Worcester Business Journal on our 55-year legacy in the region.

Some recent collaborations with local nonprofits have been reaching exciting milestones in the past few weeks. Catholic Charities recently celebrated the opening of the newly renovated space for their Mercy Centre programs, which provide support to adults with developmental disabilities. The new space includes a welcoming entry, meeting rooms, activity rooms, and offices for staff.

Creative Hub Worcester, which offers arts programs for youth and adults is seeing construction progress on their historic building renovation at 2 Ionic Avenue in Worcester.

“As a lifelong Worcester resident, few things are more gratifying than helping to bring new life to a historic downtown building,” said LPA|A Principal Sean Brennan. “Seeing nonprofits like Creative Hub, CASA Worcester County, Catholic Charites, and Preservation Worcester making investments in the city for the benefit of the community is inspiring and is something all of us at LPA|A want to support.”
