Belchertown’s Jabish Brook Middle School Project Underway
This past February, LPA|A was selected to undertake a feasibility study for the Town of Belchertown to consider options for the replacement or renovation of their Jabish Brook Middle School. The team began the work soon after that to learn from the school district what their needs and desires are for their school. Visioning sessions, school tours, questionnaires, and focus group meetings with various groups within the school community attempt to uncover specifics from the school community to inform the direction of the potential design.
At the same time, LPA|A is looking at the existing conditions of the school and analyzing the building site. We are excited to be working in partnership with Belchertown and the MSBA (Massachusetts School Building Authority) on this significant project, the first major school project in the district in more than 20 years.
