Lancaster Receives Green Communities Grant

The Town of Lancaster was one of 47 communities to receive a Green Communities Grant from the Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs. The $250,000 grant will support energy conservation measures for the Prescott Building Project, specifically, a fuel conversion (oil steam to electric heat pump) of the HVAC system, and installation of an efficient oil boiler for supplemental heating.

LPA is serving as the OPM for the renovation of the historic Prescott Building, and worked with the town grant coordinator and Guardian Energy to apply for the grant. More information about the grants can be found on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts website.
